THOTH TAROT OBSIDIAN VAULT

A field guide to the interconnected mysteries of Tarot

Go beyond studying the cards. Explore the relationships between them.

WryGood built a virtual linked notebook with every Thoth Tarot correspondence. Elements, Astrology, Qabalah. It’s all there.

Use it for study or as the foundation for your own Tarot Grimoire.

  • Step 1: Download Your Vault

    Download the Tarot Correspondence Vault using the download link provided.

    The download will arrive as a compressed ZIP file containing the vault's folders and notes.

    Step 2: Extract the Files

    Locate the downloaded ZIP file on your computer.

    Extract its contents into a folder where you'd like to keep your vault.

    For example:

    • Documents/Tarot Correspondence Vault

    • Documents/My Tarot Grimoire

    Choose somewhere convenient that you can easily find again.

    Important: Keep the folder structure intact when extracting the files. The links between notes rely on the vault's structure to work as intended.

    Step 3: Install Obsidian

    Obsidian is a free knowledge-management application that lets you connect notes into an interconnected web of information.

    If you don't already have it, download Obsidian from the official website:

    https://obsidian.md

    Install and open the application.

    Step 4: Open Your Vault

    When Obsidian opens, you'll have the option to create a new vault or open an existing one.

    Choose Open folder as vault (or the equivalent option in your version of Obsidian).

    Navigate to the folder where you extracted the Tarot Correspondence Vault and select it.

    That's it! Obsidian will load your notes and their internal links.

    Welcome to your new magical library.

    Step 5: Start Exploring!

    Now comes the fun part.

    Follow the links. See where they lead. Let curiosity be your guide.

    Open a Tarot card note and explore its associated correspondences. Follow a link to an astrological association, investigate its Qabalistic connections, or trace an elemental relationship to another card.

    Each connection offers another perspective on the larger system.

  • Explore the Graph View

    Obsidian's Graph View displays notes as interconnected nodes, allowing you to visualize the relationships throughout your vault.

    It's particularly useful for seeing the bigger picture and discovering connections you might otherwise overlook.

    Make It Your Own

    You can add new notes, expand existing ones, and record your own discoveries. Consider this vault a living reference rather than a finished book.

    Your personal observations are just as important to your study as the information you begin with.

    Follow Your Curiosity

    There is no single correct route through an interconnected system. You might begin with a card and end up exploring Qabalah, or start with an astrological correspondence and discover an entirely new perspective on a familiar symbol.
